The man behind Oak & Lead.
Phil is what we’d probably call a gentle giant — calm, dependable, quietly confident and happiest when there’s a dog nearby. A bit like an oak tree, really.
He’s worked in security his whole life, so looking after people, staying calm under pressure and taking responsibility seriously comes naturally to him.
But animals have always been the other constant.
Phil has had dogs all his life and is an animal lover through and through. The kind of person who notices the dog before the human. 🐾
He’s married to Sally, and together they started Oak & Lead for one very simple reason:
We couldn’t find the dog walking service we really wanted for our own dogs.
We wanted more than a rushed walk.
We wanted proper time outdoors. Small groups. Enrichment. Socialisation. Safe transport. Plenty of care. And someone we’d completely trust with our dogs.
So we decided to build it ourselves.
That’s how Oak & Lead began. 🌳
A service created by dog owners, for dog owners — with the kind of care we’d want for our own.
And Phil? He’s the one making sure every Oak & Lead dog is treated like one of the family.
